Take a Kid Fishing

Our Take A Kid Fishing trips are run during the school holidays at the beginning of each week and on one Sunday a month during the school term. Trip dates are advertised under ‘more’ than ‘events’ on our Facebook page.

• The minimum age for children is 4 years old. All children are required to wear a life jacket, which is supplied on board.
• Our harbour fishing trips are open to anyone, but the trips are primarily targeted at families. 
• Harbour trips are a great way to experience fishing from a boat and to test your sea legs without going out to the open ocean. 
• The primary catch in the harbour will be kahawai. 
• Our crew are very hands-on with the kids, assisting them with the fishing. 
• When weather conditions allow, the kids are allowed to play skipper and steer the boat on our way back to the marina.
